You are bidding on a very fine and rare old 4/4 violin, labeled Riccardo Antoniazzi Cremonese fece in Milano l'anno 1908. The instrument is in ready to play condition with some small not visible repaired cracks, good ebony set up and old master made bridge.
The violin has an excellent medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. Golden-orange varnish. The whole length of the violin is 594 mm and the back 361 mm.
