A refined bronze sculpture depicting Jurōjin with a long beard seated, holding his staff in his left hand and, on his right, a crouching Manchurian crane.
Jurōjin 寿老人 is one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune (Shichifukujin), commonly portrayed as an elderly man with a long beard, carrying a gnarled staff and often a scroll.

Okimono (置物), combining the kanji "oki" (置き, to place) and "mono" (物, object), refers to a decorative object meant for display. Okimono, popular in the Meiji period (1868 - 1912), were finely crafted sculptures made from materials such as ivory, boxwood, wood, and bronze.
