Roman Empire Silver Antoninianus coin of Emperor Philip I (also known as Philip the Arab) or his son Philip II.
The obverse inscription reads "M IVL PHILIPPVS CAES" (Marcus Julius Philippus Caesar), which corresponds to Philip II as Caesar.
The radiate crown indicates the coin is an antoninianus denomination.
It was minted in Rome around 244-247 AD.
Reverse Design: Depicts Pax, the Roman goddess of peace, standing left, holding a branch and a transverse scepter.
Reverse Inscription: The surrounding inscription reads "PAX AVGVSTI", which translates to "Peace of the Emperor".
