Used in Noh plays, it conveys a subtle balance of joy and sadness, varying by perspective and movement. Carved from wood, finished with gofun (shell powder), and signed on the reverse, the mask is in good used condition with minor wear and patina. It includes a well-preserved silk storage pouch.
