Beatles - Revolver - Vinylschallplatte - Mono, Erstpressung - 1966

1. General information Artist: The Beatles Album Title: Revolver Label: Capitol Records Catalog Number: T 2576 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Mono Country: US Released: August 8, 1966 Pressing Plant: Scranton, PA (Identified by the "I AM" triangle symbol) 2. Description This is a guaranteed First Pressing (1966) of The Beatles' groundbreaking album Revolver. Unlike the UK version, the US release of Revolver features a unique 11-track configuration. To make room for the Yesterday and Today album, Capitol Records removed three John Lennon tracks ("I'm Only Sleeping," "And Your Bird Can Sing," and "Doctor Robert"), making this US mono version a distinct listening experience and a vital piece of North American Beatles history. Released at the height of the "Butcher Cover" controversy and just as the band decided to quit touring, Revolver marked the moment The Beatles transitioned from "mop-tops" to studio pioneers. The mono mix is widely considered by audiophiles to be the superior way to hear this album, as the band and George Martin spent significantly more time perfecting the mono balance than they did on the then-primitive stereo pans. 3. Condition Cover: Very Good Plus (VG+) The original heavy-cardboard jacket is in solid condition but shows honest age. There is visible ring wear on the reverse and some light foxing/staining near the edges. The spine shows some wear and cracking but remains mostly legible. Corners have light bumping as shown in the high-resolution photos. Vinyl: Very Good Plus (VG+) - [Very Heavy] Labels: The classic "Rainbow" Capitol labels are clean with only minor spindle marks around the center hole. 4. Notes for collectors First Edition Accent: This is an authentic 1966 first edition, not a later reissue. Scranton Pressing: This copy features the "I AM" triangle stamp in the runout, signifying it was manufactured at the Scranton, Pennsylvania plant, which is often preferred by collectors for its pressing quality. No RIAA number on back side of cover. Mono Mix: In 1966, mono was the primary format. This mix contains punchier drums and different vocal balances compared to the stereo version, most notably on "Yellow Submarine" and "Eleanor Rigby." 5. Matrix/labels Matrix Side 1: T1 - 2576 - F 3 [IAM Triangle Symbol] Matrix Side 2: T2 - 2576 - G 2 [IAM Triangle Symbol] Label Style: Black "Rainbow" labels with the Capitol logo at the top. Tracklist Credits: Side 2, Track 1 "Good Day Sunshine" (BMI).
