Frühling am Omuro Ninna-ji-Tempel - Papier - Konishi Seiichiro (1920-?) - Japan - Heisei Zeit (1989-heute)

----------- Title: "Spring at Omuro Ninna-ji Temple" - ED. 97/500 Artist: Konishi Seiichiro (1920-?) - handwritten Publisher's stamp in the bottom margin Engraver: Artist Printer: Artist Image size: 18.2cm x 14.5cm Overall size: 21.6cm x 17.5cm ----------- It has been stored framed in a dark place at a collector's home for many years. There is some slight fading at the bottom due to age, but this does not affect the artwork. The print itself is in good condition. There is no damage such as tears. A frame is not included this time. Please check the photos for the condition of the artwork. ---------- A serene spring scene at Omuro Ninna-ji Temple in Kyoto unfolds beneath a pale blue sky. Softly blooming cherry trees fill the foreground, their petals gently scattered across the green grounds. The iconic five-story pagoda rises quietly in the distance, creating a calm vertical rhythm amid the blossoms. Red benches placed beneath the trees add a subtle contrast, inviting the viewer into a moment of rest and contemplation. Rendered in delicate woodblock layers, this work captures the gentle harmony of architecture and nature, expressing the quiet beauty of spring as experienced in a historic Japanese temple garden. ----------- ▼Konishi Seiichiro =============== Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1920 1940: Studied under Professor Igaki Kahei at the Kansai French-Japanese Institute.
