Alonso, Matias - 1 Original page - Mr Tomorrow - The first assassination - 1971

Presented here is an original page from the Mr. Tomorrow strip printed in the British Annual Pow! from 1971, drawn by Matias Alonzo. The story has a fantastic concept; Mr. Tomorrow is an evil villain from the future, so he thinks he can get away with anything and everything, including becoming the Leader of the World! The page is action packed and has a very interesting history- read on... The 1971 Pow! Annual has gained a somewhat incredible reputation as a comic oddity, as the comic itself ceased publication the year before, but the publisher Odhams had the chance to make one last book... the result was a book packed full of characters and strips which had absolutely nothing to do with the comic! Mainly European artists who were drawing for British strips were involved, including Miguel Quesada, Victor Ibanez, Eustaquio Segrelles, Matias Alonso, Jose Ortiz, Leopoldo Ortiz, Victor Ibanez and Enrique Badia Romero! It was a really unexpected delight and change of style, and a lot of the kids who got the annual at the time still remember it vividly! Combined shipping is available for all Lots won by the same winner of items from The Vaults of the Book Palace Auction. Collection in Person available on request. Please note that any import duties or taxes are the responsibility of the winning bidder. Thank You
