The "DX" is an acronym for Deluxe. For Seiko Collectors and Vintage fans, this is a Seiko 5 SUWA DX Collectible in stunning condition. Its cushion shaped silver case comes with sexy corners gives the case a distinct look. The case has been buffed as best as possible but some miniscule hairline scratches are present but almost unnoticeable. The glass was replaced and is now in mint condition. The unsigned original crown is located at the 4H position and is nicely tucked away yet easily accessible. The date quickset works by pushing the crown in to adjust the date. The time is adjusted by uncorking the crown for relevant adjustments. The day quickset is via rotating the hands to and from 8H to 4H. The movement was carefully stripped, meticulously cleaned, oiled and re-assembled on 25 February 2023, and another general servicing on 15 November2025. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the Owner peace of mind. Equipped with the very rare 6106 25J Deluxe movement, it operates at 21,600 BPH. The time-grapher shows excellent readings of +23 seconds and amplitude of 204! Such readings are within the tolerance of modern-day automatic watches. To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling this timepiece, the watch is 100% original Seiko components from this watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified thereby it is considered in near mint condition. The case width and height are approximately 35.0mm (w/o crown) and 41.5mm respectively; the lug width is an impressive 20mm. Hence, suitable for men and the modern women. Due to its age, please note that this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested. A brand-new vintage styled two-toned navy-blue genuine leather strap with white stitching is selected to compliment the silvery-white dial and case. The strap comes with built-in quick-release spring bars for easy installation and removal. The pictures provided shows the watch in excellent condition (no dents and major scratches), and the movement within is squeaky clean and well maintained This beautiful watch has been de-magnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead. Yes, there are many other same / similar models in the market, BUT none are as well-kept and maintained as what you see here, and with an attractive price to boot.
