Große Kutani-Chargerplatte: Handbemalte Bijin (Schönheiten) mit feinem rotem Netzmuster (Amite) und - Porzellan - Ichido (一堂) - Japan - Meiji Periode (1868-1912)
[Short description and origin] This is a magnificent, large-scale Japanese Kutani porcelain charger (飾り皿), dating from the late Meiji to early Taisho era (early 20th century). This exquisite piece is a prime example of "Yokohama-Kutani" style, created during the golden age of Japanese ceramics export.
The central motif features two "Bijin" (Japanese beauties) meticulously hand-painted with extraordinary detail. Their kimonos are adorned with traditional patterns and highlighted with heavy gold gilding that remains brilliantly vibrant. The background is entirely filled with the sophisticated "Amite" (red net pattern), a hallmark of high-end Kutani ware that requires immense patience and skill.
The reverse side bears the elegant signature of the artist/studio: "Ichido-saku" (一堂作) with a traditional iron-red seal.
[Condition and Style] The condition is Excellent, especially considering its age. There are no chips, no cracks, and no signs of restoration. The enamel colors and gold accents are remarkably well-preserved. It is a true collector's item that showcases the "Superlative Technique" (Chouzetsu-Gikkou) of Japanese Meiji-era artisans.
