Fine and rare Georgian-era solid silver propelling combination pen and pencil, attributed to Joseph Wilmore of Birmingham, dating to circa 1820–1830.
The pen features a knurled silver barrel with screw-driven propelling mechanism, steel dip nib at one end and graphite pencil at the other. A hand-cut JW maker’s mark is visible on the barrel, consistent with Wilmore’s registered punches.
Closed length: 113 mm
A high-quality pocket writing instrument of the type used by clerks, engineers, and professionals in the early 19th century.
