At the base, a shishi is carved looking upward toward the figure. The surface displays a warm, even patina with the natural tonal variations typical of aged marine ivory. Signed underneath the base. ---The okimono is in good condition. Ivory age cracks are present on the legs of the shishi and on the figure’s feet, along with a small losses.
