Dear Bidders, I'm offering here a vintage decorative set by Rosenthal, designed by Bjørn Wiinblad, from the iconic Quatre Couleurs series, produced circa late 1960s–1970s. The set consists of 2 vases, 2 candlesticks and 1 bowl, made of fine glazed porcelain and richly decorated with hand-applied 24-karat gold and graphic geometric motifs in warm brown and ochre tones. The design combines Scandinavian modernism, mid-century aesthetics and Wiinblad’s distinctive decorative expression, resulting in an elegant yet artistic ensemble. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Rosenthal, founded in 1879 in Selb (Germany), is known for high-quality porcelain and long standing collaborations with leading designers of the 20th century — theirs is a legacy of merging art and industrial design in timeless creations. Bjørn Wiinblad (1918–2006) was a Danish designer and artist renowned for his whimsical, decorative style. This piece reflects his iconic, colorful aesthetic and his collaborations with Rosenthal, where he created unique porcelain designs combining playful motifs with high-quality craftsmanship. A perfect example of mid-20th century European decorative art. SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: * Made in Germany by Rosenthal * Designed by Bjorn Wiinblad - serie Quatre Couleurs * Material : porcelain with 24k golden pattern * Measurements: ca. 1. 30x7,5 cm; 2. 16x6 cm; 3. 2 x 21,5x5 cm ( candle holders ); 4. 3x11 cm * Whithout decoration * Please watch carefully all the pictures, they are also a part of description ( each one can be enlarged ) * I would like to point out that the items I am selling are several decades old and therefore show general signs of use and age, such as minor scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust, patina, chips, dents etc. - Any major damage -s is / are ALWAYS shown in the photos - * Please remember about Catawiki’s rules and make a payment maximally within 3 days after auction end The set will be properly prepared for the shipping ( mainly recycled materials ) and sent insured ( up to 500€ ). IMPORTANT: If, however, the item is damaged or lost, please contact me via the internal Catawiki chat. According to EU law for courier companies, in any case of damage to an international shipment, the first step in obtaining compensation is for the RECIPIENT to report the damage to their local supplier within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Only then, after the RECIPENT ( you ) receives a certificate of damage, I as the sender can claim compensation. In addition, the following photos will be required: the damage to the item, the outside of the box with the shipping label, and the inside of the box including the materials used to protect the shipment.
