Superbe phurbu (ou phurba) rituel en bronze, travail ancien de tradition himalayenne, probablement Tibet ou Népal, seconde moitié / fin du XXe siècle.

Ce poignard cérémoniel se distingue par
- Trois têtes couronnées au sommet, finement sculptées, représentant les trois aspects symboliques (passé, présent, futur) ou les trois dimensions du monde dans le bouddhisme vajrayāna.
- Poignée centrale richement décorée, aux motifs traditionnels.
- Lame trilobée caractéristique, symbole de la transmutation des énergies négatives.
- Extrémité inférieure sculptée d’une tête de dragon / makara stylisé, créature mythique protectrice dans l’iconographie himalayenne.
