Mookaite is a variety of Jasper, and one of the best-known and most appreciated types within the jasper family. As stated, this material comes from Mooka Creek in Australia, a source that has made Mookaite widely recognized for its warm, landscape-like colour combinations.
This sphere offers especially pleasing contrast from different viewing angles: one side shows stronger red and darker inclusions, while another reveals more open yellow and cream areas. The polish gives the piece an elegant presentation, and the spherical shape allows the patterns to flow continuously around the stone.
