Vom Verkäufer bereitgestellte Beschreibung
Ottoman Islamic Brass Talisman Plaque (Taweez) with Arabic Inscriptions – Dated AH 1282 (1865/66) – With Display Stand
Offered is an authentic Islamic talismanic plaque (Taweez) engraved with Arabic inscriptions and numerical talismanic grids, originating from the Ottoman cultural sphere and dated 1282 AH (1865/1866 CE).
The rectangular plaque is hand-engraved on both sides and divided into multiple panels containing religious invocations, prayers and numerical talismanic formulas (wafq / Abjad numerology). Such objects were traditionally used as protective amulets, either worn, carried during travel, or hung in homes for spiritual protection and blessing.
The Arabic inscriptions include invocations to God, blessings for the Prophet, and protective supplications commonly associated with talismanic practice in the Islamic world.
The presence of the engraved Hijri date ١٢٨٢ strongly supports a production in the mid-19th century.
The plaque is suspended by two original loops and a later metal chain and is sold together with a modern display stand, allowing immediate presentation as a collectible object.

Engraved brass / copper alloy

10 × 7 cm
