These are very old banknotes issued in Japan during the Edo period..
Called "Han-Fuda 藩札"
The Edo period was unified by the “Tokugawa clan”. Therefore, there is naturally a common currency. However, the unique banknotes of local “Han 藩” were also often used in those days. Many were issued on the occasion of financial difficulties. After the Meiji era, “Han-Fuda 藩札” were banned.

◆文久四年 Bunkyū 4
The year 1864 (Bunkyū 4) fell during the turbulent Bakumatsu period. On February 20 (March 27 in the new calendar), the era name was changed to “Genji” based on the Kōshi calendar reform. Consequently, this era name existed for less than two months and is effectively treated as Genji 1 (1864). This tumultuous year saw events such as the Ikedaya Incident and the Hamaguri Gate Incident.
◆銀壱匁 Gin Ichi-Monme
“Gin Ichi-monme” was a unit of weight for silver in the Edo period, equivalent to approximately 3.75 grams. In modern units of weight, 1 monme is 3.75 grams. In the Edo period, one “Han-Fuda 藩札” was equivalent in value to 3.75 grams of silver.
These are old and have some stains and tears. However, the illustrations and text are decipherable.
