According to the included biography, he was born in Kagawa Prefecture and graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts (東京藝術大学彫刻科). He exhibited in prestigious Japanese art exhibitions such as the Nitten (日展) and Shin-Kōzō-ten (新構造展), receiving multiple awards including the Tokyo Governor’s Prize. He served as a professor at Nagoya University of Arts and was recognized as a member of various major Japanese art associations.
