Inna Etuvgi - THE PILGRIMAGE (a Place to Charge)

THE PILGRIMAGE (a Place to Charge) Fine Art Print by Inna Etuvgi THE CONCEPT This work is created through the lens of Radical Empathy — a way of seeing in which the artist does not merely observe an object, but momentarily becomes it. Inhabiting the experience of a pair of wireless earbuds, Etuvgi visualizes their existence: being small, lost, separated, and depleted of energy. What seems like a minor everyday inconvenience is transformed into a quiet contemporary pilgrimage. In this process, the artist engages with Cybernetic Animism — our human capacity to project emotion and hope onto technological objects. It is a recognition of shared rhythms: we all know what it means to be depleted and to seek a recharge. • The earbuds become travelers. • The charging case becomes a sanctuary. • The act of charging becomes a modern ritual of survival. The Pilgrimage continues the series "Once Upon Now" — a contemporary fairytale told with gentle irony, reflecting how technology has woven itself into our emotional lives. TECHNICAL DETAILS • Format: Studio Signature Size (3:4 proportions). • Dimensions: Image 30 x 40 cm | Paper 33 x 43 cm. • Medium: Museum-quality Giclée print on archival 100% cotton paper. • Edition: Limited edition of 25. Inna Etuvgi is a Swedish-Chukchi artist whose work defines the concept of Cybernetic Animism—a bridge between indigenous Arctic intuition and technical precision. Raised in a remote village in Chukotka and trained in technical cybernetics, Etuvgi explores the shared "soul" of natural ecosystems and digital algorithms.

Internationally recognized as an Arte Laguna Prize finalist (Venice) and a recipient of the Swedish Arts Grants Committee grant, her work is held in private collections worldwide. As art critic Tabish Khan notes: “Her work transports us to other worlds—bot
