This is a handmade Tamba ware (Tachikui-yaki) tea bowl by Japanese ceramic artist Udagawa Seiya of Tanzan Kiln. Tamba ware is one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, highly appreciated for its earthy clay and natural kiln effects. This chawan features a soft off-white glaze with subtle iron speckles and expressive trimming at the foot. It comes with its original signed wooden box (tomobako) and descriptive leaflet. Dimensions: Diameter: 14.3 cm Height: 7.3 cm Foot diameter: 6 cm The bowl is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. Minor natural firing marks are consistent with handmade pottery.
