Teller - Kloisonierte Emailleplatte mit einem Habicht und Spatzen zwischen blühenden Zweigen
A cloisonné plate with decoration on a dark blue ground depicting a hawk in flight turning toward small sparrows among flowering branches.
The bird of prey is rendered with great attention to the plumage, defined by fine metal wires that suggest overlapping feathers and the layered structure of the wings.
The ground, in a deep and uniform midnight blue, enhances the contrast. The rim is finished with a thin wave-pattern decoration in turquoise blue. The reverse is enamelled in bright light blue.
Japanese cloisonné is one of the most refined forms of decorative art. Originally adopted from China, the technique was perfected by Japanese artisans during the Meiji period. The technique involves the use of vibrant polychrome enamels that create a metallic, glossy effect.
---The plate is in good condition. Minor wear to the enamels consistent with age. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
The item will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL or FedEx, accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity issued by Mastromauro Japanese art gallery based in Milan, Italy.
