Mickey's Circus : Mickey Mouse Original Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936) + CERTIFICATE After a highwire clash with Donald, Mickey aims for the seal tank as he tumbles into a swan dive in this original animation drawing from his 1936 theatrical short, Mickey's Circus. This adorable Ben Sharpsteen-directed short features Mickey and Donald with a trio of sea lions preforming under the big top for orphans during a free attendance day at the circus. Nothing quite goes to plan however, with the sea lions more interested in lunch than preforming and the unsupervised children wreaking havoc. This frame of Mickey can be spotted around the 7:30 mark of the short. Ringmaster Mickey has been rendered in graphite pencil to a full-figured character on the vertically aligned sheet of 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. Condition : Light age-related toning and superficial surface wrinkles (See photos). The paper used by Disney studios in the 1920s-1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity. Size : 30 x 25 cm
