1976 Blandy’s Terrantez – Madeira Blandy’s, established in 1811, is one of the most historic and respected Madeira wine producers, still family-owned today. Terrantez is one of the rarest and most sought-after Madeira varieties, positioned stylistically between Verdelho and Boal. It combines vibrant acidity with delicate sweetness and remarkable aromatic complexity. Wines from the 1970s are increasingly scarce, particularly in Terrantez. After decades of ageing in oak, Terrantez typically develops refined aromas of dried citrus peel, toasted nuts, herbs, spice, light caramel and saline minerality, supported by firm acidity and a long, elegant finish.
