Kawai - No. W60 - - Akustikgitarre - Japan - 1967

Extra rare Kawai acoustic guitar No. W60 - Made in Japan probably in the '60s (I'm guessing mid-to-late '60s, but it could be earlier). Check the sound demo I recorded playing the guitar: https://youtu.be/xPHIBxvs_rs It has steel strings (0.11). The guitar is fun, it has a recognisable sound and is great for both strumming and fingerpicking. The truss rod doesn't work and the action is a little high so this guitar should be played as is. However, I find it playable and comfortable as you can see and hear in the video. Moreover, from around the 8th/9th fret upwards, the notes don't ring perfectly when played, but this gives it more character with a bit of a dirty, rough sound when going up. Listen to the video carefully to hear how it sounds up the neck. Naturally, this is not a guitar for a lot of lead playing, it would be perfect for someone mostly strumming and fingerpicking in the first 5 to 7 frets, playing Folk, Blues and Country. This guitar is around 60 years old, it has imperfections, so adjust your expectations accordingly. It will feel different compared to a brand new instrument (which is why I love it). Check the photos and the videos, they are the best way to understand the guitar's condition and sound. I'd suggest it to people who have some experience with vintage guitars and are willing to make adjustments down the line, or who can embrace the imperfections in exchange for a special sound and vibe.
