These bells are used in Buddhist rituals at temples and home shrine settings during prayer, memorial services, and meditation practices. These bells are used in Buddhist rituals to punctuate prayers and moments of meditation with a distinct, resonant chime. Unlike Himalayan singing bowls, which are rubbed in a circular motion, Orin bells are gently struck to produce a single, fading tone that creates a serene atmosphere. The tone of the Orin is traditionally believed to purify the surrounding space. The Orin bells are made from brass and show a range of finishes including polished and patinated surfaces consistent with age and use. The accompanying cushions are covered in traditional brocade fabric. The stands vary in material. Two are made of plastic, while the remaining stands are made of wood. Among the wooden examples, one features a plain finish and the others are finished in lacquer. Age-related wear and blemishes are present throughout. The bells show patina, oxidation, spots, and surface discolouration consistent with long-term use. One bell shows interior surface coating loss. The stands display scratches, paint wear, and small chips. The strikers show signs of handling and wear to the leather and fabric wrapping. Overall fair to good used condition. Please refer to the photos for details. Overall Dimensions of Bells + Cushions: approx. H 10-15 cm W 7. 9.5-15 cm D 9-14.5 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos.
