The artwork depicts a graceful woman standing under a weeping willow (Shidare-yanagi). The flowing lines of the willow branches and the delicate expression of the woman are characteristic of traditional Bijin-ga (paintings of beautiful women), a genre that captures the elegance and fleeting beauty of the era. Its slender proportions make it a very elegant piece that would fit beautifully in narrow spaces.
