Swat valley Chair & Low Table – Hand Carved Wood Set – Early 20th Century

A decorative antique Pakistanian set consisting of a hand-carved chair and a matching low table.

The chair is crafted from solid wood and features a richly carved back panel with traditional geometric and rosette motifs. The seat is made of tightly woven natural fibers. The construction shows visible traditional joinery and irregular hand-finished details, characteristic of Berber craftsmanship.

The accompanying low table is made of solid wood and displays a simple carved decoration, forming a harmonious and atmospheric ensemble with the chair.
Both pieces show a warm, natural patina developed over time, enhancing their authentic and rustic character.

Condition:
Good antique condition with visible signs of age and use. The chair has a stable age-related crack in the back panel. The wood shows wear, minor losses and irregularities consistent with handcrafted furniture. The table shows surface wear consistent with age.

Period: Early 20th century (circa 1920–1950)
