Japanische Kusuri-dansu Medizinenschrank aus Taisho- bis frühem Showa-Zeitalter, Holz mit Eisenbeschlägen, Maße 42 cm Breite × 36,5 cm Höhe × 36 cm Tiefe, ca. 13 kg schwer, 17 Schubladen plus verstecktes Fach auf der Rückseite, in hervorragendem Zustand.

*Japanese Apothecary Chest , Kusuri-dansu薬箪笥 (medicine chest)
*Period: Taisho to early Showa period (ca. 1912–1950)
*Materials: Wood, iron hardware
*Size: W 42 cm × H 36.5 cm × D 36 cm
*Weight: approx. 13 kg
*Condition: There are small scratches on the iron fittings and bottom due to aging, but both the exterior and interior are clean and in good condition. Please check the image.
The inside of the drawer is covered with a velvet-like red fabric.
This is a traditional Japanese Kusuri-dansu 薬箪笥 (medicine chest). The design, featuring numerous small drawers, was developed to allow herbalists and physicians to sort and organize various medicines from the Edo period through the Meiji and Taisho eras.
Crafted in wood with iron fittings, it combines functionality with decorative charm. A hidden compartment at the back adds both a playful and practical touch.
