*Condition: The frame shows minor storage-related wear. There are some spots on the reverse. The front remains free of damage. Overall, the condition is good and well preserved. Please refer to the photos for details.


This elegant pair of two-panel byobu folding screens features a softly reflective gold-toned surface, while the reverse is finished in a calm silver tone adorned with delicate white patterns, creating a refined contrast. The panels are framed with deep navy borders decorated with intricate gold-patterned textile, adding a rich and sophisticated accent.

The original storage box is included and bears the inscription “Tokusen 特選(Selected) Gogatsu Byobu 五月屏風– Fuji 富士(Mount Fuji),” along with the mark “Kinsei 謹製,” indicating fine craftsmanship.

Versatile and refined, these screens can be used as decorative pieces, room dividers, or display backdrops, making them an attractive addition to both modern and traditional interiors.
