Delicately hand-modelled terracotta figurine in the iconic “Pretty Lady” style characteristic of the Tlatilco culture. The piece depicts a stylized female figure with a large head, finely detailed facial features, slanted eyes, and an elaborate headdress with incised decoration and traces of red pigment. The compact body shows typical rounded forms and graceful proportions.
Figurines of this type are among the most emblematic expressions of Preclassic Mexican art and are believed to have been used as ritual objects, offerings or representations of fertility and femininity.
