Description:

This is a pearl-luminous celadon bowl from the Song Dynasty Tingxi Kiln in Tong'an. It is a classic export porcelain from the Maritime Silk Road during the Song and Yuan Dynasties, and a precious relic of the cultural exchange between China and Japan in the tea ceremony. The bowl has a wide mouth, a round belly, and a straight foot, showcasing the simple and unpretentious style of Song Dynasty folk kilns. The entire piece is covered with a creamy yellow-green glaze, warm and lustrous, with natural crackles interspersed throughout, exuding an antique charm. The outer wall of the bowl is decorated with radiating vertical lines, while the inner rim is carved with water ripples using a comb-like technique, demonstrating skillful, fluid, and natural execution—a typical style of the kiln.

The exposed clay at the foot is solid and shows signs of age, clearly reflecting its historical period.

Condition:

This piece is in good condition. A slight chip on the rim adds to its antique charm without diminishing its historical or artistic value. There are no cracks or signs of repair.
