Description:
A Mashiko ware tea bowl by Mimura Hokudo, decorated with an earth glaze and grass motif. The bowl has a well-balanced, slightly flaring form, with a soft cream-toned glaze over a textured body and expressive brown brushwork around the exterior. The surface shows the warm, rustic character associated with Mashiko ceramics, while the interior is finished in a quiet, even glaze suited to tea use. It is signed on the base and comes with its original signed wooden tomobako. A printed artist leaflet is also included.
