One of the Seven Lucky Gods, ancient deities of Japan.
Ebisu is the god of good fortune who brings prosperity in business, abundant fishing, and bountiful harvests. He holds a fishing rod in his right hand and cradles a sea bream in his left.

Shimenawa,しめ縄,Sacred Shinto Rope

A sacred rope used in Shinto traditions in Japan.
It is made from twisted rice straw or hemp and is used to mark a holy or purified place.
Shimenawa are often decorated with *urajiro* fern leaves, evergreen plants, and zigzag-shaped paper strips called *shide*.
Urajiro is a traditional fern whose leaves are green on the front and white on the back, symbolizing purity, longevity, and good fortune.
Shimenawa are commonly seen at Shinto shrines, torii gates, sacred trees, rocks, and at entrances during the New Year season.
The rope is believed to keep away evil spirits and to separate the sacred from the ordinary world.
