A large pottery chancay bichrome vessel. Egg shaped amphora with a head spout wearing a wide banded headdress with crested ornaments, ceremonial facial paints and holding a kero with both hands. Painted schematic legs with prominent feet. Cream slip ground with black painted highlights. Incised net decoration on the chest. With old inventory number on the base.| Peru. Chancay. 800-1200 A.D.

Condition: Some surface wear and material losses on the crown ( see pictures ). Good overall condition.
