For sale is an electric locomotive of the EU 43 series with the operating number EU 43-007 of the Rail Traction Company (RTC), manufactured by Roco. The model is an AC version with a digital decoder for Märklin. The model is in very good condition, fully operational, and will be delivered in the original packaging including detailing parts.

History & Prototype

The prototype of this locomotive, the EU 43 class, was originally developed by Adtranz for the Polish State Railways (PKP). However, due to financial difficulties on PKP’s part, the eight locomotives built were never accepted. In 2001, the newly founded Italian private railway company Rail Traction Company (RTC) acquired all eight units for cross-border freight traffic, particularly on the Brenner corridor between Italy and Austria. The locomotive EU 43-007 is a jointly operated locomotive used by the companies Lokomotion and RTC, recognised by its distinctive livery featuring blue and red zebra stripes.
