Vom Verkäufer bereitgestellte Beschreibung
Item Description:
A refined Japanese tea-glaze flower vessel (chagusuri hana-ire) bearing the artist's maker's mark on the base, accompanied by its original wooden presentation box (tomobako) inscribed with the title Chagusuri no Hana-ire (茶釉之花入) in the artist's hand.
The vessel stands in a classical upright cylindrical form, well-proportioned for a tokonoma (alcove) or chashitsu (tea room) setting.
Its surface is covered in a warm, richly textured tea glaze (chagusuri) — a brown-toned glaze that fires with a pleasingly uneven, matte-to-semi-matte character, creating subtle variations of ochre, umber, and amber across the body.
The rough, tactile quality of the glaze surface speaks to the wabi aesthetic prized in Japanese tea ceremony ceramics: quiet, unpretentious, and deeply grounded in the material.
The narrow mouth is well-suited to receiving a single-stem or sparse floral arrangement in the tradition of chabana (tea flower arrangement).
The base bears the artist's maker's mark, confirming this as a signed studio work.
A piece of genuine character for the tea ceremony enthusiast or collector of traditional Japanese craft.
Size
Height: 27.5 cm
Width: 15 cm
Depth: 15 cm
Weight: 1,687 g

No significant chips or cracks; minor surface scuffs and age-related wear consistent with careful storage. Kiln-related surface variation and glaze irregularity are inherent to the piece and part of its character. The wooden box shows light wear.
