Fèlsina's Chianti Classico "Berardenga" is an elegant red wine with a rich, expressive intensity, perfectly representing one of the most ideal terroirs in the Chianti Classico region for growing Sangiovese, Tuscany's flagship grape. The winery has worked tirelessly to preserve the varietal character of the grapes, through painstaking mass selection of the finest biotypes present in the old vineyards. This has allowed it to replicate and preserve an extraordinary genetic heritage, which even today allows the production of a wine steeped in the history of the area and capable of authentically reflecting its characteristics thanks to the centuries-old interaction between vines and soils.

"Berardenga" is a Chianti Classico produced by Fattoria di Fèlsina, a historic Chianti estate that since the 1960s has focused on high-quality production, confident in its extraordinary terroir. The estate is located in the hilly area of ​​Castelnuovo Berardenga, northeast of Siena. The vineyards are located at an altitude between 320 and 420 meters above sea level, with a southwest-facing exposure. The soils are highly suitable, composed of stratified quartz sandstone, with an abundant presence of alberese. These poor, rocky, and well-draining soils are ideal for the needs of Sangiovese. The cool, breezy climate allows for a slow and perfect ripening of the grapes, which are harvested in the first weeks of October. The bunches are destemmed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C, with maceration on the skins for a couple of weeks, accompanied by pumping over and punching down. The wine ages in Slavonian oak barrels and a small portion in second- and third-use barriques for 12 months.

The Chianti Classico "Berardenga" from Fèlsina is the most classic and traditional red wine produced by this important Tuscan winery. A true tribute to the varietal characteristics of Sangiovese in all its richness and expressive elegance. Bright ruby ​​red in color, it expresses a bouquet characterized by aromas of red currant, morello cherry, hints of aromatic herbs, delicate spices, nuances of licorice root, and more austere and mineral notes of quinine and graphite. On the palate, it presents a fine tannic texture well-integrated with crisp and intense fruit, which leads to a long, fresh, and savory finish.
