A unique feature of calcite is its double refraction, which gave rise to its variety, called "Doppelspat" (double spar). Due to this special property, pure crystals are also used in the optical industry. This Mangano Calcite gets his Pink colour from the Elememtn MANGAN. It is a natural effect during millions of years.
