【作家略歴】Author Biography

十四代 酒井田柿右衛門
絵付けの基礎となる部分を会得するため多摩美術大学日本画科で日本画を学ぶ
卒業後帰郷して父親に弟子入り
下積みを重ね父と祖父が蘇らせた「濁手」の技法なども学ぶ

1971年
本名の酒井田正名義で日本工芸会会員となり10年ほど本名で公募展や個展に出品
1982年
父の死を受け14代目を襲名
翌年アメリカ合衆国「クローズ・アップ・オブ・ジャパン・イン・サンフラシスコ」初出品
サンフランシスコ市長から名誉市民号を贈られる
14代目柿右衛門展は国内だけでなく海外で高い評価を集めた
2001年
重要無形文化財「色絵磁器」の保持者（人間国宝）に認定
