This auction features a carefully selected pair of authentic vintage Japanese kitchen knives consisting of a Deba knife and a Yanagiba sashimi knife, both bearing traditional maker's marks and original quality labels.

Yanagiba Knife: Signed "堺高秀作 (Sakai Takahide Saku)". The ferrule retains the original "切味最高 – Sakai Traditional Cutlery Quality Guarantee" quality label.
Deba Knife: Signed "吹田 起重作 (Suita Kijūsaku)". The ferrule retains the original "切味優秀 – Recommended by the Sakai Cutlery Wholesalers Cooperative" label, and the wooden handle bears the original "吹田 起重作" branding.

These knives were crafted in Sakai, Japan, one of the country's most renowned centers of traditional blade making. The combination of a long Yanagiba for precise sashimi slicing and a sturdy Deba for fish preparation makes this an attractive and practical vintage set for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
