Unrecorded plate flaw: Great Britain 1934, 5s carmine red, re-engraved Waterlow printing ("Seahorses"), Mi. 187 / SG 451. Distinctive unlisted plate flaw: Four vertical background lines clearly broken within the shield. Used with circular date stamp "CRAVEN ARMS / SHROPSHIRE", day "29" clearly visible. Variety: Unrecorded broken lines in shield.

Great Britain 1924, 2½d violet-blue, King George V, Mi. 153 / SG 422. Spectacular, complex multi-part plate flaw: Distinct "Error at Cross on Crown" featuring a major break in the upper frame line immediately to the left of the crown, plus a partially broken line further left. Significant color omission on the left crown arch below the cross break. Combined with a distinct white flaw inside the letter "C" (of PENCE) and an interruption of the left outer frame line. Used with a clean wavy line cancellation.
Variety: Major unrecorded combination flaw. The multiple breaks and omissions beautifully document a highly interesting early/progressive state leading up to the famous "No cross on crown" variety. A showpiece for the specialized King George V researcher.

Great Britain 1924, 2½d violet-blue, King George V, Mi. 153 / SG 422. Outstanding plate flaw: Distinct "Error at Cross on Crown" with symmetrical breaks and a bilateral printing omission affecting both the upper frame line and the directly adjacent pearls of the ornamental border. The cross on the crown is deformed on both sides and incompletely printed at its base. Used with a clean wavy line cancellation.
Variety: Major unrecorded showpiece variety. The inclusion of the ornamental pearls in the bilateral printing omission documents a highly advanced progressive state of plate wear. A key piece for the King George V specialist


British Post Offices in the Levant 1921, 1 PIASTRE on 2½d violet-blue, Mi. 26 / SG 40. Used with a clear, well-centered "BRITISH POST OFFICE / CONSTANTINOPLE" circular date stamp. The overprint is crisp and bold. A very attractive and characteristic example of this foreign post office issue. Variety: Genuine contemporary usage.

Great Britain 1924, 2½d violet-blue, King George V, Mi. 158 Well-centered and fresh choice copy, used with an exceptionally clear, well-centered, and razor-sharp Scottish double-ring postmark "BRIDGE OF ALLAN / STIRLINGSHIRE". The date "24 OC 28" and the time "6.15 PM" are fully visible and readable to the letter. Perfect perforation.

Great Britain 1911, 2½d bright blue, King George V ("Downey Head"), Mi. 125 / SG 325. Choice copy, cancelled with the scarce, upright "Late Fee Hooded" circular date stamp of the City of London financial district post office "THREADNEEDLE ST. B.O. E.C.". Clearly identifiable within the strike are the upper device code "L12", time "7 PM", month and year "JU 13", and the lower duty code "1" (exact day of month incomplete). Fresh color and clean perforation.

Highly attractive choice item featuring a clear, decoratively placed circular date stamp "NEWCASTLE ON TYNE", with the town name perfectly legible across the portrait. Additionally showing a clean, complete commercial perforation (Perfin "B W & Co") used by the well-known pharmaceutical company Burroughs Wellcome & Co. Excellent perforation and fresh color.

This piece exhibits a distinctive triple punch (multi-strike error), where the original commercial perfin was deformed into a dense, chaotic monogram pattern due to repeated, offset striking of the pins. Perfectly documented on the reverse with clean pinholes. Faultless perforation. An exceptional study piece for the perfin specialist.
