Dial and Hands
The exceptionally well-preserved dial features a vibrant silver sunburst finish that remains remarkably clean. Applied indices and Seiko logos are crisp and bright, interacting beautifully with the light, while all printed text is fully intact with no visible loss. The original dauphine hands display light, age-appropriate patina, showing minor spotting and faint oxidation under magnification without any structural damage.

Case and Crystal
The case exhibits honest wear consistent with its age. The 20-micron gold plating shows tarnishing and wear, particularly visible as plating loss on the lug extremities and case flanks. Light surface scratches are present throughout the integrated bezel and case body. The stainless steel caseback displays light wear while retaining clear, legible engravings. The unsigned crown shows significant plating loss and visible pitting on its surface. A clear, domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, presenting without any major scratches, crazing, or chips.

Movement
Inside beats the historically significant Caliber 290 automatic movement, clearly engraved with SEIKOSHA GYRO-MARVEL and 17 JEWELS. The movement presents beautifully, appearing very clean with well-preserved plates and screws, and showing no visible corrosion or heavy staining. There are only light superficial scratches present on the rotor surface. Recording -4-6s/day on the timegrapher. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.

Strap
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring orange contrast stitching. The strap appears to be in near-new condition, showing minimal signs of wear.

Condition
Good vintage condition. The watch presents an exceptionally clean dial alongside a case that shows honest, age-related wear, including noticeable plating loss on the lug edges, flanks, and crown. The hands carry a light, natural patina. The movement is remarkably clean and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly.
