Detailed Description

This listing consists of one original Fleischmann two-axle flat wagon, individually transformed into a unique WWII Wehrmacht military transport model.

The wagon carries two different German Wehrmacht vehicles:

- Mercedes-Benz L 4500 R “Maultier” half-track cargo truck with a canvas tarpaulin cover
- Opel Blitz cargo truck with a canvas tarpaulin cover

Please note that this handcrafted project is a freely interpreted model inspired by Wehrmacht military railway transport from the Second World War. It is not intended to be an exact one-to-one reproduction of a specific documented wartime transport.

The original wagon was completely disassembled, carefully prepared, primed and individually airbrushed by hand using colours inspired by Wehrmacht military equipment from the Second World War.

Both military vehicles were produced using a high-quality 3D printer. Each vehicle was individually cleaned, primed and completely painted by hand in a Wehrmacht-inspired colour scheme. The canvas tarpaulin covers were also individually finished and painted by hand.

The vehicles were produced in N scale (1:160). Their dimensions are proportionally matched to the scale of the wagon.

All decals were specially custom-made in the correct N scale (1:160). They include Deutsche Reichsbahn markings inspired by those used during the Second World War, as well as Wehrmacht-style markings and Balkenkreuz symbols.

Both vehicles and all additional components are permanently fixed in place and are not intended to be removed.

All markings and decals were individually applied by hand. After completion, the wagon, vehicles and all details were protected with a clear matte varnish to preserve the finish for many years.

The original Fleischmann wagon used for this project was carefully selected and was in very good condition before the conversion. All buffers and couplings are complete.

The wagon was individually assembled, inspected and tested on the track after completion. It rolls smoothly and operates correctly behind a locomotive.

This is not a simple repaint of ready-made models. The wagon and vehicles underwent a complete hand-finishing process involving preparation, priming, painting, assembly, decal application and final protective coating.

The entire project—from the original concept, through the printing of the 3D models, painting, assembly, decal application and final varnishing—was carried out entirely by me.

Many hours of careful manual work were invested in creating this model. It is not a factory-produced set but an original handcrafted project, making it a true one-of-a-kind collector’s item.

The wagon is fully functional and suitable for operation on an N scale layout. However, because the paintwork, decals and detailing were applied entirely by hand, the finish may be more delicate than a factory-applied finish. Although the complete model has been protected with a clear matte varnish, it should be handled with care and unnecessary contact or rubbing of the painted surfaces should be avoided.

Condition Note

Please note that the condition is listed as Near Mint solely because this project was created using an original Fleischmann wagon that was not factory-new. A carefully selected wagon in very good condition was used as the foundation for this project. All hand-finished paintwork, 3D-printed vehicles, detailing, custom-made decals and the final protective coating are entirely new and were created specifically for this unique model.

Packaging

The original box is not included. The wagon will be packed separately in its own protective box and carefully secured to ensure maximum protection during transport.
