On either side stand watchful, sharp-crowned characters with exposed teeth and startled eyes. Between them, a smaller figure stretches out curling arms beneath a vast blue eye. It has no threatening mask and no visible crown—only a subtle smile and a red heart carried close to the body.
In Soft Power, ARVY uses the direct, unfiltered language of naïve art to reverse the expected hierarchy. Black, cobalt blue, acidic yellow and hot pink move across the pale ground in restless strokes, giving the composition the energy of an improvised ceremony. Beneath its humour lies a fable about strength: the loudest presence is not always the most powerful.
Surrounded by figures fighting to appear important, the quiet character at the centre becomes the one that is hardest to forget.
