About the artist Gomor:

In the Old Testament of the Bible, Gomorrah is one of the two cities (the other being Sodom) that were destroyed by God because of the bad manners of its inhabitants. It's no coincidence that the terrifying child of French street art, Gomor, chose this pseudonym to capitalize on his talent.

The artist, born in 1992, is originally from Paris and began very early to mark the facades of buildings in his neighborhood with spray cans. Very quickly his technique is perfected and evolves into new media that offer new perspectives to his art in full development.

Like the pop art masters Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein before him, the young graffiti artist immerses himself in the world of comics that he loves so much.

From 2015 he uses in his paintings recurring characters of pop culture: Wonder Woman, Superman or Uncle Scrooge a little too close to his money ... He combines them with well-known streetwear brands like Supreme or Louis Vuitton to transform them into a more concrete and often boastful insert world. Gomor, in his own way and in his personal quest for accuracy, seems to have found the magic recipe for a perfect balance between the licking designs of 20th century pop art and the spontaneous contemporary codes of street art. So he sends out clear messages, able in particular to denounce the excesses of our capitalist society, but all in light and falsely childish works.

Gomor's art is always expressed in many media. Although most of the works sold in galleries are acrylic on canvas, sometimes the painter returns to his first love and we enjoy his figures on everyday objects: skateboards changed for the occasion in triptychs, mailboxes...
