English Sterling Silver & Ebonised Wood Walking Cane, London 1922

An elegant English walking cane dating to 1922, featuring a long black ebonised wooden shaft topped with a substantial rounded sterling silver handle. The silver mount bears full London assay hallmarks for 1922 together with the maker’s mark “M.S”. The softly shaped silver pommel has developed attractive surface character with age, while the dark shaft creates a restrained and classic contrast. Finished with a metal ferrule to the base.
A handsome early 20th-century English walking cane with clearly struck period hallmarks.

Approximately 90 cm long. Signs of age and use throughout, including surface marks, small dents and wear to the silver and wear to the shaft, consistent with its age.
