In meinem Studio fotografiert, mit zwei unterschiedlichen Models, eine Mischung aus zwei verschiedenen Belichtungen (die Augen, die durch die Maske sichtbar sind, gehören dem Model selbst; sie hat sich in die Position gebeugt). Der Jongleur ist eine konzeptionelle Reflektion über die vielen Rollen, die von uns erwartet werden zu spielen, und die ständigen Anforderungen, die wir im Alltag meistern müssen. Manche Tage schaffen wir es, alles in Balance zu halten; an anderen rutscht unausweichlich etwas, und die zerbrechlichen Eier zerbrechen.

ÜBER DIE KÜNSTLERIN

Elena Paraskevas Werk ist in institutionellen und unternehmerischen Sammlungen vertreten, einschließlich des Public Art Department of Sweden (Västra Götaland Government), Boston Hospital, USA (große 500 cm Installation am Eingang zur Abteilung für Kinderkrebs), Australian National University, Thalassa Museum, Affinity (Serif) und weiterer institutioneller und unternehmerischer Sammlungen.

Ihr Werk wurde im EUROPA-PARLAMENT in Brüssel ausgestellt, ebenso wie auf großen Biennalen und Galerien in NYC, Paris, Tokio, London, Dubai, Sao Paolo (Brasilien), Wien, Barcelona, München, Kuala Lumpur, Florenz, Frankfurt, Málaga, Linz, Graz, Siena usw.
Im Jahr 2026 wählte der Magnum-Fotograf Alec Soth ihr Werk persönlich für eine Ausstellung in Griechenland aus, die unter der Schirmherrschaft des griechischen Kulturministeriums stand.

Sie wurde von vier verschiedenen internationalen Fotografiegesellschaften zur International Photographer of the Year (2024 / 2023 / 2021 / 2018) gekürt.

Sie hat internationale Anerkennung und große Auszeichnungen von Hasselblad Masters, World Masters of Photography, LensCulture, Aesthetica, Prix de la Photographie Paris, International Photography Awards (IPA), Neutral Density Awards und vielen weiteren erhalten.

Seit 2021 ist sie Jurorin für das FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS und fungiert jährlich als Jurorin bei mehreren internationalen Fotowettbewerben. Sie ist auch ehemalige Adobe-Ausbilderin und Botschafterin.

Ihre Fotografien wurden in Smithsonian Magazine, The Guardian (UK & Australien), The Times, Vogue.it, Aesthetica, LensCulture, PDN, Photography Masterclass und zahlreichen anderen internationalen Publikationen veröffentlicht.
