Demencia ist der emblematische Wein von Demencia de Autor, dem Projekt von Nacho León im Bierzo. Diese Ausgabe trägt die Bezeichnung Vino de Villa und stammt aus alten Buschreben, die in kargen Böden in der Gegend von Villafranca del Bierzo kultiviert werden. Die Parzellen Villegas, Requeixada und Fuente San Lázaro umfassen Reben, die 1905 bzw. 1940 gesetzt wurden, auf einer Höhe von etwa 500 bis 600 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel.

VINIFIKATION UND LAGERUNG:
Vergärung in Edelstahl mit autochthonen Hefen.
Vollständige malolaktische Gärung.
24 Monate Lagerung in Eichenfässern, mit zwei Umfüllungen.
Weitere 9 Monate im Tank.
Abgefüllt am 30. Juni 2022.

Es präsentiert ein komplexes und elegantes Profil mit reifen roten und dunklen Früchten, blumigen und balsamischen Noten, Gewürzen und subtil integrierter Eiche. Am Gaumen wirkt es frisch, mit seidigen Tanninen, Tiefe und einem langen mineralischen Abgang.

PRODUKTION: Nur 1.168 Flaschen.

LAGERUNG: Immer in einem temperaturkontrollierten Lager aufbewahrt.

ZUSTAND: Alle sechs Flaschen befinden sich in ausgezeichnetem optischen Zustand, Füllstände bis zum Hals, Etiketten vollständig intakt und lesbar sowie intakte Metallkapseln. Ohne Originalkarton. Bitte beachten Sie die beigefügten Fotos, die Bestandteil der Beschreibung sind.

An excellent lot of six bottles of Demencia Vino de Villa 2019, an artisan Mencía released in an exceptionally limited production of only 1,168 bottles (0.75 L).

Demencia is the flagship wine of Demencia de Autor, Nacho León's project in Bierzo. This vintage carries the Vino de Villa classification and comes from old bush-trained vineyards on poor soils in the Villafranca del Bierzo area. The Villegas, Requeixada and Fuente San Lázaro sites include vines planted in 1905 and 1940, at approximately 500–600 metres above sea level.

GRAPE VARIETY:
100% Mencía

WINEMAKING AND AGEING:
Fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts.
Full malolactic fermentation.
Aged for 24 months in barrel, with two rackings.
A further 9 months in tank.
Bottled on 30 June 2022.

It offers a complex and elegant profile, with ripe red and dark fruit, floral and balsamic notes, spice and subtly integrated oak. The palate combines freshness, silky tannins, depth and a long mineral finish.

PRODUCTION: Only 1,168 bottles.

STORAGE: Always stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse.

CONDITION: All six bottles are in excellent visual condition, with fill levels into the neck, fully intact and legible labels and intact metal capsules. No original case. Please refer to the photographs, which form an integral part of the description.
