Elena Paraskeva - The Floating Line II - XL

In den Klippen von Sorrent, Italien, eingefangen, ohne den Einsatz einer Drohne. Das Werk entstand aus Stunden, die über dem Wasser verbracht wurden, in Erwartung der richtigen Schwimmer, Gesten und Boards, die unten auftauchten. Diese Elemente fügen sich zu einer verschlungenen Linie durch das Meer, wodurch eine gewöhnliche Szene mediterraner Freizeit eine fast choreografierte Qualität erhält.

ÜBER DIE KKÜNSTLERIN

Die Arbeiten von Elena Paraskeva befinden sich in institutionellen und unternehmerischen Sammlungen, darunter die Public Art Department of Sweden (Västra Götaland Government), Boston Hospital, USA (große 500 cm Installation am Eingang zur Abteilung für Kinderkrebs), Australian National University, Thalassa Museum, Affinity (Serif) und weitere institutionelle sowie unternehmerische Sammlungen.

Ihr Werk wurde im EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT in Brüssel gezeigt, ebenso wie auf bedeutenden Biennalen und Galerien in NYC, Paris, Tokio, London, Dubai, São Paulo (Brasilien), Wien, Barcelona, München, Kuala Lumpur, Florenz, Frankfurt, Málaga, Linz, Graz, Siena usw.
Im Jahr 2026 wählte der Magnum-Fotograf Alec Soth, weithin anerkannt als einer der einflussreichsten lebenden Fotografen, persönlich ihr Werk für eine Ausstellung in Griechenland aus, die unter der Ägide des griechischen Kulturministeriums stattfand.

Sie wurde von vier verschiedenen internationalen photographischen Gesellschaften zur International Photographer of the Year (2024 / 2023 / 2021 / 2018) ernannt.

Sie hat internationale Anerkennung und Hauppreise von Hasselblad Masters, World Masters of Photography, LensCulture, Aesthetica, Prix de la Photographie Paris, International Photography Awards (IPA), Neutral Density Awards und vielen anderen erhalten.

Seit 2021 ist sie Jurorin am FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS und fungiert jährlich als Jurorin in mehreren internationalen Fotowettbewerben. Sie ist außerdem ehemalige Adobe-Instruktorin und Markenbotschafterin.

Ihre Fotografien wurden in Smithsonian Magazine, The Guardian (UK & Australien), The Times, Vogue.it, Aesthetica, LensCulture, PDN, Photography Masterclass und zahlreichen weiteren internationalen Publikationen veröffentlicht.
