VINIFIKATION UND ALTERUNG:
Vinifikation parcelenweise, spontane Fermentation und insgesamt 24 Monate Reifung in Barrique, gefolgt von weiteren 12 Monaten Flaschenreifung vor der Markteinführung.

VERKOSTUNGSNOTEN:
Conzentrierte rote und dunkle Früchte, Pflaume, Brombeere, Kakao, Lakritze, schwarze Trüffel, florale Noten und eine deutliche salzige Mineralität. Kraftvoll und strukturiert, aber geschmeidig, ausgewogen und äußerst langanhaltend.

Masseto is one of Italy’s greatest icons and one of the world’s most sought-after expressions of Merlot. Produced from the celebrated blue-clay terroir of Bolgheri, it combines impressive concentration with elegance, precision and outstanding ageing potential.

GRAPE:
100% Merlot

VINIFICATION AND AGEING:
Parcel-by-parcel vinification, spontaneous fermentation and a total of 24 months in oak, followed by a further 12 months of bottle ageing before release.

TASTING NOTES:
Concentrated red and dark fruit, plum, blackberry, cocoa, liquorice, black truffle, floral notes and a distinctive saline minerality. Powerful and structured, yet silky, balanced and exceptionally persistent.
