The Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 is the long telephoto zoom of the Four Thirds system, and because the format doubles the focal length it reaches 600mm equivalent while weighing only 620g. Nothing else gives that reach in a lens this size. It uses ED glass to control chromatic aberration at the long end and focuses down to 0.96m across the whole range, close enough to work as a half-macro on small subjects.
